Cabana Boy Rockaway was never supposed to become what it is today.

In the summer of 2022, it all started with a simple conversation while sitting in a car one afternoon. We had an idea that seemed almost too simple: what if going to the beach didn't have to mean hauling heavy chairs, coolers, umbrellas, and everything else across the sand? We weren't trying to build a company. We weren't thinking about websites, custom equipment, or where the future would take us. We just wanted to make beach days easier for people.

With one regular beach cruiser, a tiny utility trailer, and a handful of beach equipment, we decided to give that idea a chance.

Some days we'd have bookings, some days we wouldn't. We spent long hours riding up and down the boardwalk, learning as we went, making mistakes, improving, and doing everything we could to make every customer's day a little better than the last. There were plenty of moments where we wondered if it would ever become anything more than a small summer side project.

But little by little, people started talking.

Families recommended us to friends. Visitors came back the following summer asking for us by name. Customers who booked once became customers who booked every year. Every season brought new opportunities, new challenges, and another reason to keep believing in the idea that started in that parked car.

Today, that tiny trailer has grown into something we could have only dreamed about. What once consisted of one beach cruiser has become a fleet with two fully customized electric bikes, custom-built trailers, more than five times the equipment we started with, and a fully operational online booking system that allows thousands of people to plan their perfect beach day with just a few clicks.

Cabana Boy Rockaway is proudly led by Michael, our Chief Executive Officer, whose determination and vision have been the driving force behind this company from day one. Alongside him is Charlie, our Chief Operating Officer, making sure every reservation, every setup, every delivery, and every customer experience reflects the standards we've worked so hard to build. Together, we've poured countless early mornings, late nights, and endless hours into growing something we truly love.

The truth is, this business has never just been about renting beach equipment.

It's about giving families one less thing to worry about. It's about helping parents spend more time making memories with their kids instead of carrying chairs through the sand. It's about celebrating birthdays, proposals, family reunions, graduation parties, and lazy summer afternoons without the stress of planning every little detail. Knowing we've been a small part of so many special memories is something we'll never take for granted.

Looking back, it's hard to believe that everything you see today came from one conversation, one bike, and one tiny trailer. We never imagined we'd build a company trusted by thousands of loyal customers, but we're grateful every single day that we did.

We're still the same two people who believed in a simple idea during the summer of 2022. The equipment has grown, the business has grown, and our dreams have grown, but our purpose hasn't changed.
